Meet me @ TechBBQ

This week, I’ll be at TechBBQ in Copenhagen (26 & 27 August). I’ll also be at the Claude Conversation pre-event work session (August 25th).
I’m looking forward to meeting new, interesting people. If we’ve just met, or you’re thinking about reaching out for a coffee, this page is for you.
My name is Tom. I’m a product janitor for hire. A hands-on product leader for scaling, underperforming, or difficult product problems.
I have over 20 years’ experience working across ecommerce, saas, growth, health-tech & innovation. And I work best at the deep-end on difficult or ambiguous problems.
I’m available for fractional & interim product management work, and open to the right permanent role.
Getting in touch
I can help you:
- Take an idea from 0 to shipped product.
- Turnaround an underperforming product, team or initiative.
- Address complex / critical initiatives that no-one else can get moving.
- Scale your team - maturing product ops & structuring better ways of working.
- Create growth.
Let’s get coffee
Mostly, I’d love to hear what you’re building, how the model works, & what’s hard right now.
But if you want stories, I’ve got stories. We could talk about:
- How I was parachuted into a struggling chatbot team with everything on fire - earned their trust, and rebuilt it from the ground up to halve acquisition costs, and 7x activation.
- Or how I learnt enough machine learning to lead a team of 10 AI engineers and design how a smartphone could diagnose skin conditions.
- Or maybe how I convinced a room of Novo executives to bin their product brief, and completely change the way of working.
- Or if we want to go growth, how I ran growth experiments to treble sign-ups at devops startup Opbeat, or reversed 4 years of sales decline at a domain registrar.
- Or even if we want to go way back, how I redesigned the domain search box, increasing revenue by 20% overnight and accidentally creating a new industry standard.
I also mentor early-career PM’s pro-bono, so if you’d like a safe-space to chat or nerd out about product - I’d be happy to talk.
